GnG 2.0, and I for one am very happy! I was disappointed that they didn't include the guitar, but maybe we'll see it in an accessory set later on. The outfit itself is right on (though the new boots will take a little getting used to), and her makeup is an interesting purple/gold combination. And this is the first Jem we've seen, in either incarnation, with blue eyes!

Me too! I think she looks great, and isn't in another pink fashion! Love these colors on her. Something about the headband, leggings, and boots makes me think she'll look great displayed next to Danse wearing her main outfit. I'm also getting an Olivia Newton John vibe from this fashion as well, which is awesome!!!
Edit:
Specifically from this video.

My Starstruck Jem arrived today! She's gorgeous! It's always hard for me to not be impressed every time seeing a new release in-hand. The pictures never do them justice! Also, something about the blue-green packaging just makes her look pop so much. Especially with the contrasting pink hair. So awesome!

Seeing your pics made me just order her, and I really, really didn't want to order another one. In denial! She looks like the prettiest Jem yet. I agree about how most of these dolls are represented in pictures. Especially the ones of Jem herself. I was very disappointed when the promo pics of Classic Jem came out. At that point I was thinking I was not going to collect any of these dolls because I didn't want that particular doll. My first one was Showtime Jem, and I really didn't like the way she looked in her promo pics. I decided I was going to get her and only her. When I got her I thought she was beautiful, and that led to Jerrica and Pizzazz, and so on . . . including Classic Jem which by that time ended up costing dearly (but she is worth it)!

Ha, that's great! I'm glad you were still able to order her. It's true these are pretty much always nicer in person. But even actual photos help give a better idea than the stock photos, which are usually of prototypes and not final.
I agree too, there's something about this release that really stands out from previous ones. It could be that there is just less pink, over all. I am definitely glad to have this one.

Yeah, it was definitely a missed opportunity to give her the guitar. Maybe they will release it in another On Stage pack.

Have you ever thought about doll-sized fashions by designer names, such as Balmain/Moschino/Dior/Lagerfeld? I would DIE if I saw Jem characters wearing Moschino fashions... and even BETTER! OOAK DOLL-SIZED MOSCHINO FASHIONS!!!!!!!! Gahhhhhh I am obsessed with Moschino!

I like this one! She is super different to the other Jems released. I wonder though why they changed the headband from white to green? I think I would've preferred it white. Thanks so much for sharing pics though, I just love seeing them!

Yeah I agree about the head band. I don't know if there is a specific reason. Sometimes IT takes certain liberties with the releases. While certainly not deal breakers, sometimes I wish they'd just stick to the source material.

I actually just watched Glitter and Gold a few hours ago, and lo and behold, there was Jem in the cartoon incarnation of this outfit! No green legs, white headband, and shoes, not boots! They really did tinker with her, but she still looks good! I like the boots, wouldn't mind a pair for me!! Lol!! I'm just working my way through the box set of dvd's, G&G was the last episode on disc 4.

I feel like sometimes IT takes the easy way out. Since they already had the green printed fabric, they probably saved time/money on having to make a whole new print just for the headband.
How are you enjoying the box set? I thought they did a great job on it. I know this isn't the correct place to ask this, but I just looked this up and I see that the US box set is 1500 minutes and the UK box set is 1419 minutes. Does anyone know what the missing 81 minutes is?

You know, I didn't think about that, but you are probably absolutely right. The headband is just cut from the same fabric as her shirt, so probably didn't cost them any more. Having to print on a separate white fabric definitely would have added to the production cost.
Ah, well. Truthfully, it is a minor thing, for me at least. I am glad we got this version and it still looks great. :-)
Good question about the UK box set. I too would be curious to know what's different about it.
