Just revealed is what appears to be the final release in the Integrity Toys Jem line; "Sophisticated Lady" Jem and Jerrica set. Release date and price TBA. I'm just going to come right out and say I think this is an amazing looking set, and a fitting way to send off on the line. What are your thoughts?  |

I am infatuated with this Jem doll. I can't stop looking at this picture. Sophisticated Lady was one of my favorites in my childhood, so I'm very excited and love it! I love every little detail of this Jem. I think this is going to be my favorite doll in the whole line.
The Jerrica is questionable. I'm glad they are giving us a smiling Jerrica. I hope the smiling face and hair both look better in person than this picture does. I would like to know why they used this fashion as the "flip." Is it really related to Sophisticated Lady, or did they just feel it was a good match since there wasn't a true Jerrica side to this outfit in the show? I'm just curious about all Jem details! The hat looks a bit big also in this pic, but overall, this outfit is nice.
I plan to purchase the set.

Yeah, I'm not aware of why this fashion was used as the "Flip" version of Jem's fashion, but I do like it. Maybe someone with better knowledge can explain.
I like how they are sticking to the cartoon as the default reference. Looking at Jem's fashion, I love how they interpreted the animation model for it. It really does seem as if the animators saw this fashion first, then simplified it for animation. Looking back, it would seem that was their goal all along, to take the animation models and bring them into real world detail. Just amazing what they have done with this line.

These dolls look great, I love the attention to detail and I'm sure they will be more stunning in person. It's so bittersweet though - the last of the collection. It's nice to have an end point and Integrity did a great job. Still it would have been so cool to see their take on even more fashions (although my wallet is feeling a bit of relief.)

Yeah, it's hard to believe the line is coming to an end. I keep feeling like I miss it already, even with this release and the yet to be revealed accessory set coming. Integrity has done such a fantastic job on these and there are so many more variations and concepts I would have loved to have seen them produce.
It also makes me wonder, is this the best Jem line we'll ever get? I mean, these are pretty much our version of a "Masterpiece" line. How could these dolls be topped in style and quality? Where does Hasbro go from here?

wow i think Jem looks fierce. Jerrica is giving me I Dream of Jeannie vibes honestly lol but she looks nice too.
one thing i would like to see is a redesign collection of how Integrity would envision Jem and the Holograms in 2017. I've seen the other dolls they do outside of the Jem license and I think a lot of them look really unique so it would be interesting to see what Integrity came up with for a modern Jem.

Jem's cartoon look is one of my favorites and I love the way they interpreted the cartoon designs, especially the embroidery on Jem's jacket. I don't like them switching the head molds, although I agree Jem looks beautiful. I hope her hair turns out that fluffy.
I'm interested to see how Jem's necklace looks. It can't be seen that clearly in this promotional shot.

I think this was chosen as the "flip" because of the episode ('Princess and the Singer', I think) where Jerrica ends up wearing this on a plane when Synergy's hologram of that Jem outfit is interrupted. Also not a fan of them switching the head molds, and Jerrica's hair seems way too long and unstyled. Jem is beautiful, but I would a million times have rather seen Jerrica's pink suit. (and a different face, and different hair...)

Do we have any ETA on this set?
I love the Jem (hair especially) and the Jerrica has grown on me...not as part of Jem, but simply because its a really nice outfit.
It is sad that this is the last of the IT Jem line....I was truly hoping for AB as a send off.

Come to think of it, it is a bit strange that we didn't get an American Beauty Jem since we seemed to get all the other 1988 planned dolls in the vintage line interpreted in the Integrity line... It would have been nice to have gotten a bridesmaid Jem too to go along with wedding day Kimber. Maybe a Comic Con bridesmaid Jem that included the AB fashion. Ah well. Maybe we'll see more from Hasbro someday.

Hi, I have spoken to friends in the industry about it and apparently the line was pulled out from them -IT- without warning by hasbro, they were only able to complete and release the items already in production. So it makes sense in that regard that the last few items are 'Filler' and not WOW! They may have planned AB as a later lure or maybe -logically- as a SDCC item. we will never know sadly. Im hoping that they are planning to release the SL set on the general site, as its cruel that the Kjem is 'members only'. (I pleaded for the SSG Guitar for months when I was a member last year!) But I dont expect much from the IT guys, so not totally shocked. |
