I have always thought that the episode "The Day The Music Died" was such a better closing to the series than "A Father Should Be". I love the concept of the Jem universe becoming fractured and at the very end we get to see Jem back on top performing to a huge crowd of adoring fans. Despite the MAJOR plot hole of nobody seeming concerned or bothered by the fact that Jerrica has disappeared (remember to everyone outside The Holograms, that old lady in Tibet, and the president of the United States Jem and Jerrica are two separate people) I absolutely love this episode. That being said, I was thinking today how the Jem series would have been effected by this episode going forward. An ongoing subplot of the show is Eric Raymond trying to steal back Starlight Music from the Bentons. After he discovered how much responsibility it was taking on the Starlight foundation I don't think he would have had any interest in the company going forward. I think Pizzazz's perception of Jerrica was also drastically altered once she found out the inner workings of Starlight Music and how well Jerrica managed to keep it all going. I also wonder how Minx would have treated Rio after this episode because she was clearly annoyed by how distraught Rio was over Jem and Jerrica disappearing and how easily he gave up on trying to get Jem off the island. Such a wasted opportunity. -Caleb.

That is my favorite episode, strangely enough. Also, don't we all wonder whatever happened to everybody after the series finale?
